Community

Parkhill is located north-west of London, between the city and Lake Huron. Parkhill is a small community, but featuring many of its own amenities. The town has a Foodland, a bank, a library, a ServiceOntario Centre, a funeral home, a spa, and multiple schools, as well as the Parkhill Leisure Club. The Parkhill community arose from the construction of the Grand Trunk Railway. Upon the railway completion in 1859, a post office and store were first opened in the Parkhill area.

With slow growth initially, Parkhill went through various industries including a sawmill, a flax mill, and a woolen mill. Come 1871, the population grew to 1500 people. As a result of its length history, Parkhill is home to many Victorian-style buildings and homes. The churches further hold up to this standard, with beautiful architecture.
